Syciprider started a thread on the Bass side of things regarding Ernie Ball getting inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame. It has evolved into what we hope will be a grass roots efforts to get it done!

I would be all for it but I would not get my hopes up. The R&R Hall of Fame has become a joke in my eyes and has totally lost its credibility from what it originally started out representing.I would be surprised if Jan Wenner of Rolling Stone who is a total joke and probably wields the most power in the Hall even knows who EB is, which is no disrespect to Ernie but just shows what a nit wit Wenner is.

To make a short summary of this idiot and his staff, if anyone remembers the RS issue of the greatest guitarist in Rock history here are some of the most absurd rankings ever published.

#12 Kurt Cobain #85 Randy Rhoads
#16 Johnny Ramone #82 David Gilmour
#17 Jack White #70 Eddie Vanhalen
#52 Lou Reed #63 Danny Gatton

Does anyony who can compile a list as ridicules as this of which their were many other mind boggling placings seem like he should be in such a position to say who goes into the hall. Lets not forget some of the great recent Rock acts that have been inducted like-Madonna, ABBA, Grand Master Flash, Run DMC,Miles Davis, Johnny Cash and Billie Holiday, some who are brilliant artist -Davis,Cash and Holliday but none of them have anything to do with R&R.

Meanwhile artist like Deep Purple,Moody Blues, SRV, Rush and Heart who have a female guitarist that can hold her own in a band with any guys and a vocalist who is arguably the greatest female rock singer ever are snubbed over again for the immortal rock artist nominees this year like Donna Summers, The Beastie Boys and LL Cool J.

This whole place has turned into a joke, unless they just change the name to the music hall of fame, but to continue calling it the Rock and Roll is absurd.
