It's just the angle.

Look at where the bottom of the pickup is in relation to the second knob.

Then look at this:

Just the angle of the photo (and lack of pickguard), I think.

I think it's quite similar to any other stingray, you boost mids to full, basses and highs to like 1/2 or somethin around that, and it's just amazing. Well, I've used Fender Jazzbass 'till now, totally hated the sound at the end, so this is like a freakin blessing from heaven)
