My vote goes to either an ASS or JPX (they must have a piezo) modded with a push pull so that it can switch between series and par just like the 25th does

Most versatile, what ever lets you sound the best for what you do, that be the way baseball go!

OK it is so a matter of opinion, but my votes go to Reflex/25th, BFR JP, Luke Piezo and standard JP piezo.

Going to try and get my roasted coil tapped since I am going to have to thin the herd even more:)

Thanks for all the replies. I guess I'm leaning more toward either the Axis SS with trem and piezo or the Silo at this point. This game changer that was mentioned has also got me interested. I can't wait to find out more about that.

Sounds like we'll all find out more about the GameChanger @ Winter NAMM in January.

I think any of the EBMMs that have a 5 way switch or more are versatile. It depends of course on how a person uses that guitar or chooses to play. Some people might have a 25th for instance that has 10 different pickup options, but may only really use two of them. I also think the volume AND tone knob is your best friend. There are SOOO many tones to be had with the use of the volume knob as well as the tone knob. I honestly dont know how come a lot of guitar players dont use the tone knob...personal choice of course. I personally use it quite often to get different flavor from the pickups...especially on the clean channel. I might get kicked in the a**, but this is also the reason why I think the Axis is the least versatile guitar of the EBMM line-up. Great guitar for straight up rock and shred of course...nothing wrong with that :D.

All this being said, at the moment I think it would have to be the 25th/reflex and the original Morse with all those combinations. Now the Gamechanger will crush everything else I guess hehe.

If the question is the MOST versitile it is the original Morse.

What is there, like 11 different combinations?

But no Piezo on the morse unfortunately, and only Floyd, no vintage trem.

I'd have to say, after winter namm, Silo or Silo Spec, w/ Trem, Piezo and game changer would be an INSANELY versatile guitar.

I'm so stoked!

If you go with my idea of an ASS that has been modded to run ser/par + piezo you get 10 mag sounds + piezo + you can blend the piezo with any of the 10 mag sounds  OMG

LUKE all the way, have had mine since 2001, original blue finish with EMG's and it just crosses over to all styles and just feels like home, have a JP which sounds amazing but just does not feel right to me, never has sadly!

Silouhette (original, not Special) immediately came to mind when I read the thread title. Reading others' posts, I have to agree that the Morse and 25th, and to a slightly lesser extent, the ASS, Luke, and Silo Special are also highly versatile. I'm a neck humbucker addict, so any definition of "versatile" I use must include a neck humbucker, but obviously, others may feel differently. Can't go wrong with any EBMM.

Let me chime in. This topic comes up regularly here, but just to clarify what exactly we mean:

Guitar with the biggest number of diferent tones available - easily the Morse to me
Guitar with the tone that suits the most styles - there I'd have to go with an SSS Silo/Silo special, or a 20-th silo.

most versatile? :::::

PIEZO must be on board

but which one? I've owned them all (with piezo).

JP and Axis... not surfy/singly enough

Must have actual singles and hums both.

SILO or LUKE depends on your love for EMGs. I have a LUKE / Piezo that sounds unworldly through the VOX, Marshall OR Fender.

I vote: LUKE w/PIEZO
