So when the Roasted Neck Silo's come out. Would it be a first time they were issued in an Ebony Fretboard?

No...the DDII's were also ebony and I believe there were some limited edition Silo Specials that went to Germany all black with ebony.

Aren't you glad that you did not sell that guitar? Such a nice color...especially in the first I would love to have one like that with 22 frets .

Hey, GuitarHack -- what's your preference between the SSS and HSS configurations? I ended up with an SSS Silo Special, but I sometimes wonder if the HSS would offer up a bit more bite when playing leads and crunchy stuff. You seem to have 2 of each configuraiton. Do you like one over the other?

Yeah, I really am. I was always really reluctant, but I desperately wanted a EBMM that would fit the Roland GK-3. Still do, but I just couldn't get myself to get rid of this one. Everytime I pick it up it feels like coming home. Got myself a cheap strat to stick the hex-pickup to for when I really need the possibilities it offers. The color is just stunning on that awesome piece of wood. And it's not just us two, everyone says "DAMN that's one fantastic looking axe"!

Ahh, didn't notice it was a Silo. I'm assuming you modified it to have the 2 single pu's. Or did they come like that back then?

Yup, Silo's could be had HSS stock. I think you could get SSS and HSH stock too but I'm not sure.
