Definitely a good buy for $20! What it really needs is new electronics and maybe a P-bass pickup since that's probably the sound you grew up with...

sorry. Couldn't resist. If you decide to make a restoration project out of this send us pics every so often so we can follow along.

Thanks for the offers guys, but I think I will try to make it beautiful again, or atleast see if it still works. Thanks for all the help, encouragement, and snide remarks - I found them all enjoyable.

I will update you if I make any real progress with is, otherwise highest bidder gets it.

Keep your eye out on ebay, parts come up every now and again

Just be aware that we cannot sell you a replacement bridge for this bass! I doubt if the seller has the original somewhere but, wouldn't hurt to ask. It's painful to look at the photo, like seeing a 3 legged dog running down the street.

I grew up in a swampy part of southern Mississippi. Lots of three legged dogs around and in fact they should have ALL been named "Lucky" compared to their compadres that simply disappeared thanks to our teeming population of large aquatic carnivorous reptiles.

Gators love dogs almost as much as we do.

The really bad ones used to belong to secret forums.

But they were just so mean.

But they still have the bite.

Ask the persom you bought it from about the missing bridge. Maybe he has it lying around.

Ok, So I found this bass for 20 bucks at a garage sale. Its very cool looking, I know that much.

It has the serial number B003625, which after searching I found out comes from a 1977 Music Man if I am correct.

She needs a full restoration, and a hard to find bridge, and yes the headstock decal is gone.

I don't know what your plans are with it, but I'll make a realistic offer if you don't have the ability to restore it.
