I got this from JP today

Sterling,
Had my Skype meeting with Drew about the Game Changer yesterday. Wow! This is just insane and so groundbreaking. The name is absolutely perfect and appropriate.
Can't wait to dig into it myself.
Can I Tweet about receiving this or is it all top secret?
Thanks,
JP

Skype meeting, eh? So you'll be shipping a gamechanger-equipped guitar to him soon for further review?

True... but still. I'm within return policy should I just return it and wait for this Gamechanger? I dont even know what that is! But it sounds like a big deal if JP is AMAZED by it!

Ernie Ball Music Man has revealed it's new "GAME CHANGER" switching system at the 2009 Summer NAMM show.

For the show, the product is installed in a 25th Anniversary guitar to showcase it's revolutionary functionality.

The new switching system incorporates a Push-Pull tone pot and a Rotary Encoder knob into the standard switch setup to enable over 50 different combinations on a HH / 5-way switch equipped guitar like the 25th.

The instrument signal remains analog and never enters the digital switching circuits.
The switching is silent and you can store any sound in any position.

Users will have the ability to program their guitars from the web or from your iphone as an app.
Initial plans are for connection via mini-usb or Bluetooth.
Favorites can be stored for different gigs or recording...
Patches can be swapped and users will have the opportunity to download artist patches !

Stay tuned for more updates !

Does that mean you'll all dress as rubix-cubes for NAMM - Game changer???

(ok well I found it funny )-

I'd like an Ipad for pennies please....

But more than that I want me a game changer, might fall off the wagon in 2011.

...to find those you like the best and program them as presets on your five-way switch. Even those switching options you were not able to get before because they were not possible!

56 sounds, for what? HAHAHAHAHAHAA

Sounds confusing....hmmmmmm

I need to distill this down to you guys. I absolutely love the "I onlyy need three sounds from my pickup ...because that is all I have ever been offered" Kid thes guitar is capable of so much more but the limitations of a cheap ass switch has kept the guitar locked until now. WE arent taking anything away from you...we are giving you control of your guitar. BTW there are over 3,000 different switching possibilities from a two humbucking guitar they will be web based..you can rewire your guitar in 5 seconds or less...Like JPs tone on a song...go to the gamechanger website and click on it and it is done in five seconds.

THink of it as crayons....Imagine growing up with just three colors....you colored fine. Art was based on three colors. NOw some guy offers you the 164 color box...some say...WHy. Some say look at the different textures and realism I can add....The reality is that if you only want the three still we havent taken anything away from you

All I want to know is if JP is trying it on a 25th/reflex like everyone else or if he got a special one loaded into one of his various models?
