Spud,

You and the OLPlayer family did us proud, I'm really sorry I couldn't be there (for those who don't know my wife has been very ill- and I had to cancel my trip - there were free flights from Inverness to London on the go but I couldn't get near a computer to tell you about it...)

The pics are REALLY cool - Albert showing up at the stand is excellent, I remember when I saw him at LIMS - it was like - Damn, there's Albert Lee!

Great times, I'm sure - really wish I could have been there, but very unavoidable I'm afraid.

Thanks for all the kind comments guys.

I am so lucky to have been able to have helped out at the show.
I went to the soundstage to see Al play the first two numbers then wanted to get back to the stand as I was enjoying it so much.
There's so much work that goes on behind the scenes and it's a tribute to the guys from Strings and Things that their passion and professionalism is plain to see.

I'm gonna bump this up - but in doing so I'd like to convey some sad news.
Many of you know that I am a friend of the Bass player from Budgie Burke Shelley,
I'm away working in Bradford and received a text telling me that Burke whilst on tour in Poland had collapsed with a heart aneurism. He was rushed to hospital and medical intervention has resulted in Burke surviving. I just heard literally minutes ago that he was sat up in bed, feeling good and he is coming back to the UK on Friday.

My wishes for a complete recovery go out to Burke and he and his family are in my thoughts.

Spud it looks like you guys did a hell of a job, and I can imagine it must of been a blast to do. Mostly all my heroes are from the UK, and I really want to visit before I kick the bucket lol.

Nice one Spud. Good to see you and Pete on the Saturday and my boys were really pleased with the stickers! Thanks again.

Sorry to hear about Burke. Real old school road warrior if ever there was one and hugely influential to some of todays massive bands. Glad to hear he made it.

Good to have you there spudster, although your jokes need some work, :D

Andy man - nice one - I aspire to be able to tell jokes like you.
Spude - fed up holed up in a hotel in Newcastle, snowing cold.
Weekend off to Madrid
Next week Cumbernauld in Scotland - any knuckleheads in Cumbernauld?
