I really get caught up in watching old footage of Stevie Ray Vaughn playing and watching old interviews. Is there any history with Stevie and Music Man? If he were alive today, What Music Man guitar would Stevie try out and like?

A Silo or a Luke maybe?

Rob that is a an understatement lol. I seriously cannot think of a player with the mitts the size of Stevie, not only huge but thick. Paul Gilbert has really big hands too but they are more on the bony side. I could see him with a Silo s-s-s with a custom made neck, which with him being Stevie would not be an issue lol.

Yep Stevie had huge hands and liked heavy azz strings with high action some how he made it work, amazing, but yea some sort of Silo Special would have been it!:) Trust me saw him play when he was just a Big D area local:)

A tobacco burst Albert Lee SSS would have looked great on him.

What's the fattest profile EBMM neck? I have an original '92 SRV sig Strat, the neck is much beefier than my Axis Super Sports, especially higher up near the 12th fret. Wonder what the closest match is.

Albert Lee SSS Tobacco Burst. I didn't think of that, I think he would have loved the MM Vintage Trem as well. Even The Albert Lee Coral Red. That is a Southwestern Flavour that he would have looked good in. I like that Colour.

Interesting question. I'd say a Silo Special SSS would be the most likely candidate. What a great player and what a huge loss to the music world.

I think would have gone for an AL sss and a AL mm-90 with the big baseball bat neck like Saraceno has.
To me the AL "Feels" and sounds pretty much like an old school vintage guitar

Vaughan? Hehe sorry! :) I honestly don't know. SRV and EJ are my favorite players, and both despite almost always being seen with single coils actually played a few humbuckers too. SRV's dumble and fingers could really make anything sound special. I imagine he wouldve played a silo spec or al.
