Yea, Alex is freakin awesome. There is A LOT of videos of him playing another Axis SS as well. I think that has been his main guitar for some time.

He always sounds good, cant say the same about the Cube, just cant stand that nasally tone that comes out of those things.

The Cube didn't sound nasally with AH playing it though. The dude is a beast of a player.

Great playing. I own a Cube which I use for practice in the house. In general, they're good amps with lots of technology jammed into an affordable package. That being said, I really wish I had gotten a Fender Blues Jr. or something else. While I think the Roland JC series are wonderful sounding amps that do a fantastic job against similar tube models, the Cubes just don't have the same sparc (for me).

Back on topic - great playing and love seeing a MM used in a demo like this.

Does anyone know what music or groups Alex has recorded with? I want to find some of his stuff. I sued to have a Cube 30 and it was ok. I think the new "F" Mustang digital amps are a lot better.

Cubes are great little practice amps. I've got one. Just don't expect much from them at gig volumes.

That being said, I would like to know how he gets that single coil (neck pickup) sound out of that Axis. Sounds almost like he has a seperate splitter on the neck pickup.

Great player thanks for the post.
