Great job playing Lional, and no I would of never taken that to be a JPX7. One of my all time favorite players Gary Moore, besides one of my favorite guitar solos. You pulled out a hell of a nice fat tone, what did you plug into? I like how you worked out the melody with improv, that is one solo for me that was worth the time to learn note for note. I still get a rise everytime I hear him switch from the neck to the bridge pup during it, and is the song I use as an example of just how powerful and dynamic switching pups during a solo can be. Again excellent job and perfect song to prove your point.

Awesome tone man. The whole sustain thing is just nonsense, my floyded Silo can keep a note going for a loooooooong time. Buildquality and parts are the important thing, type of construction comes second IMHO. And for how long do you have to keep a note going in 99,9% of all situations anyway?

Thanks for the kind words guys. Really appreciate it! The JPX7 is such a killer guitar, that you can pull off almost anything on this. I HAD comtemplated recording "Stairway To Heaven" on this thing, but couldn't find a good enough backing track to support it. Imagine doing all the guitar parts on that song with just this one guitar? Heheh...

This was the JPX7 into a crunchbox, into a PODXTLive set for a bassman and nothing else except some slight delay and a bit of reverb. All tonal variations were done by the 5 way switch and the volume knob. Nothing else on the POD or the crunchbox were touched.

And for how long do you have to keep a note going in 99,9% of all situations anyway?

True, but imagine having a guitar that always falls short of keeping that note long just that once? My previous 7 string was like that. You don't know how annoying it is until it happens... Trust me.
