I am new to the forum so I apologize in advance if this is an inappropriate place for this sort of post.

Just about two weeks ago I placed an order with one of the huge online music stores for a black Steve Morse standard, with the promise that it would be shipped today. (I was also paying $100 less than than this music store's asking price.)

Today I received an email stating that it is now back-ordered with an estimated ship date of May 2nd. Because I need this guitar to replace my main guitar, I really cannot wait that long. Does anyone know of a reputable store that has one in stock today?

I truly appreciate any help that can be provided.

Thanks!

How about the place that you got your picture for your avator from? Drum City Guitar Land seems to have that black Morse in stock for some time now! I want a all black standard myself with a matching headstock though. But I'm holding out for the blackburst Y2D hopefully at some point in the near future :D.

Here is the link:

Roubster -
Thanks, I contacted Drum City about that guitar and Jason, who works there, told me they "have it sold for $1470 to a guy in CA".

I got it!!

I just want thank everyone for their advice.
I wound up buying from Drum City - Guitarland. When I called Bass Central was told they were out of stock and so was Pete (Dubaldo). I only called Drum City because Roubster mentioned in his post that I should call them. When I had originally called them weeks ago, I was told the one I wanted was sold. But when I checked their website they still had it listed as "in stock". I called, and sure enough it was available (the original deal fell through). I ordered it on March 22nd and it just arrived today.

I have never been more in love with a guitar. The only reason I have stopped playing it is because I am so grateful for all your help and wanted to take a moment to thank you all. (I posted a quick pic using my cellphone.)

Thanks!!
