My dad just bought an Axis Super Sport. He owns a music store in Staten Island, and this time he bought an EBMM for himself and not for the wall. I was shocked when he did this because he is a hardcore Tom Anderson fan. I guess he got one so we could bond over a guitar :)

He's a bit fickle when it comes to guitars, so who knows how long he'll keep it. I thought I'd share a picture to preserve the moment.

That's my dad with his super sport, my cousin with his axis, and the assistant manager grabbed a bass off the wall to complete the pic!

Your dad have a style! Congratulations. Really, nice looking Axis Super Sport. Rosewood fretboard make it to looks warm. What is his first impressions about guitar and what he can say about differences between MM and Tom Anderson?

Great pic! That's a beautiful Super Sport. I can see why he grabbed it. I'm a big Anderson fan as well and still own a couple, but lately I've only been picking up the EBMMs.

Rich I just visited your page and was kind of taken a back from the music playing before you go in lol. I do not know if this was ever brought up but guys Richie is the guitarist for Blue Oyster Cult and has a seriously sick musical background -checkout his site. Hey Rich was just wondering if that Brooklyn club you made your debut at 5 was L'Amours , gee now I also feel old as I would of been 23 lol.

I'm getting the Y2D back tomorrow. I sent it to the tech to get it set up for 10s and getting the floyd blocked to work like the axis. I'll let you guys know how it works out.

Here's a bit of trivia. My dad was actually the guitarist for the Chambers Brothers from 71-72. He's awesome.

I never got to play at the original L'amours. The owners opened up a L'amours in Staten Island and I played there, but that doesn't count! The club I was referring to is called Short Ribs. Ever hear of it?

Richie I used to hangout at Short Ribs but it must of been later on that they had live music, I have a few years on you Rich so during mt era the clubs in the Ridge and Brooklyn were -Jasmines which became Bentleys,/ L'amours which started as a small disco club then they got the Mechanical Bull when Urban Cowboy came out lmfao, then used to just have rock night on Tuesday and then bought the building next store and made a huge great rock club,/ Pastels, /Turquoise, /Cabaret,/ Fantasy Island,/Star Lounge,/ Plaza Suite,/Romeo and Juliets which became Night Gallery -God I can keep going on as it is bringing back some good memories. I used to hang at the Paramount on SI which you may remember which was another good club, we used to have one for each night of the week and that is not even talking about the City, which started with the Ritz on Monday nights which was called depression night since it was $2 to get in. I can remember hanging upstairs leaning on the railing talking to a guy with a bowl haircut and a leather jacket and the video screen coming down playing the Ramones Rock and Roll High School and I looked at him and said you look just like the guy in the Ramones and he goes I am the guy in the Ramones lol, and it was Johnny Ramone who then introduced me to Joey who came out of nowhere which turned into a night I always remember -partying with the Ramones .

My dad had a band called Good n Plenty that played there often during the 80s. Ring any bells?
