So the US guys have Pete (DuBaldo), the Ozzies have Colin (guitarplanet.com.au) which seem to be the go-to guys for many of the knuckleheads here.

I want one of those as well for us here in Europe!

(A dealer actually knowledgeable about the brand, and not just looking to push a sale, but generally helpfull. I don't know of any, but I want one!.)

Disclaimer:
1. I realize that, while DuBaldo and Colin have a high profile on this forum, there are probably many dealers out there that would have the same level of service but are not or less active here.
2. Yes there are MusicMan dealers around these parts. But most/all that I know off are just "box pushers" (sell sell sell).
3. Keith, I'd mention you too, but you're not an "official dealer" ;)

Hello

The guys from Knighton (Knighton Music Centre) always have a good stock of EBMM. Besides they take some very nice photos. I don't know them but I think Spudmurphy knows them.
Guitars4You (Guitars4You - Specialist in fine new and used guitars) also have a stock.
Some forumites had a good experience with Coda (Coda Music - Coda Music - Leading Retailers Of Gibson, Fender, Marshall Amplifiers & Guitars), for instance for buying roasted necks ...

OK nobody on this side of La Manche (you call that English Channel, but the real name is La Manche. Frenchmen know better) !

Weird indeed BP.

I must say that Voermans (distributor) has been more than helpfull on several occasions, but I feel that on the dealer side of things there is room for improvement.

The American Guitarstore in Enschede has become part of the premium dealer network. The owner told me they'll be expanding their EBMM stock considerably soon. The guy knows his guitars (and he can play 'em too). I hope to FINALLY play the AL models in 2011 :D

@Marty Right! I've been there, but it's a bit far away (about 2 hour drive)..but yeah if they have a lot of stock that wouldn't be a prob!

Also, on a sidenote, after you mentioned them, I've ordered a trial package of DAVA picks, and I'm really digging them!

The world can have Colin and Pete, France has SLAV! Anything he sells to fund a new purchase seems to end up in France! :D

There are 2.5 million people in Paris, 12.5 million in the greater Paris area. That's is a bigger potential market than most European countries. Yet there are towns all over Europe that have more Music Man instruments hanging on their walls than Paris does. Hell, our buddy Slav in NY has had more on his couch!

And I have NEVER seen Titanium slinkys or wonder wipes in a Paris store. I'll hit the stores today and see if that's changed. Most of the shop people I talk to STILL don't even know they exist and have never heard of them. Hell, the biggest store in Paris hasn't had regular or super slinkys in stock for over a month (though the management there are a bunch of idiots). But what the hell are the distributors doing not calling them to ask why? 11 years on and there is a lot about France I still don't understand.

Update (a few hours later): So I did a tour of the strip in Paris where 95% of all the guitar stores are. There is one store that has EB coated acoustic strings (80/20 only, not phosphor), one store has a single pack in the window display but no stock, and one store has coated electric strings (9-42 and 10-46 only). Most of the other stores don't even carry EB strings any more.

Hmm, the French. Can't think of any country more protective of their food and language (which isn't a bad thing necessary). Perhaps if they renamed slinkies to Les Slinques they would stock it ;).

Reminds me of a joke

A man is sitting in a restaurant, and orders a fried rice and an eggroll.
The waiter says "But sir, this is a French restaurant!!", to which the man replies:
"Oh, alright, I'll have du fried rice et du eggroll then please".

meh...
