Howdy y'all! Long time no see! :)

So I finally changed the strings on my ASS which was much needed. Exciting, I know. But as I was doing so I decided to finally use the case candy polishing cloth that I got with my guitar and I gotta say WOW! That thing is awesome! Now I know why they gave me one because it puts all of my other ones to shame. Anyway, the moral of the story is: If you haven't tried yours yet, do it! They are amazing! :D:D:D

Hey,

which one did you use - the one for the fretboard or for the body? I just ordered the polishing thing with towel, later I saw that there are three different wonder wipes. Does the EB guitar polish the same thing as the wonder wipes for polishing?

Marian :)

Silly question. is it the EB cloth that came with the guitar? Mine are missing and I am in dire need of a high quality microfiber cloth.
Thanks.

I got three wonder wipes with the guitar: one for the strings, one for the body, one for the fretboard.. There was no EB cloth.. I guess I'll go and get me one, too..

Ok, just ordered some polish cloths.. :)

So is there any recommendation how often to polish the guitar? Is it better to do it after every use to prevent dirt to do any harm to the finish or is that an overuse?

So are there any limits on how often to polish the guitar? And is there any difference whether I use the wonder wipe polish or the EB guitar polish?

Thanks, Marian! :)

I use the EBMM microfiber cloth to wipe down the body and neck after every time I play. Have not needed to use any polishing stuff yet. The wonder wipes work great for the fretboard and strings.

Just bought two new Axis Tributes.....only come with 3 wipes. No cloth.......However, I bought a few EB Polishing cloths from a local music store....additionally,.......a very old soft cotton T-shirt piece also works very well.....p.s..I love cleaning these guitars...they are works of art!!!! The neck wipes..work wonderfully....

careful T. cotton has abrasive fibers in it.....regardless of how soft it feels. it will put swirl marks into the finish of the guitar, guaranteed.

My vintage '96 Ernie Ball polish cloth has been through the washing machine many times! It may degrade its value though as collectors prefer a natural 'relic' look.
