Stingray B006110 my bass.
Fretless Neck, Brown sunburst body. It Says 1977 on neck and 1976 on the body. It is now fretted but I think it was fretted in England about 30 years ago.
How do I find out exactly how it left the factory?

Since that is a pre Ernie Ball instrument we would not have any record in our database. You could refer to: www.musicmanbass.org for possible information on basses from that era.

E40191 comes up as a black Stingray 4, rosewood board! DOB:04/07/04. I believe yours is F40191, DOB: 05/06/11

Thanks, I just checked it. It was brand new from S&T and they only got it a few days ago as it was re ordered.

Yep, my mistake! Thanks, it is indeed an F so F40191! That correlates correctly now

Just picked up a fretless stingray 4. Can I get some info on it please? I'm guessing it's late 2010, early 2011 based on other serial #s in this thread. It is tobacco burst with (guessing) pau ferro fretboard. Can I get DOB and clarification on the woods please?
