I love my Axis Super Sport! I've been playing my SSS Silo Spec a lot for the last month of so but I picked my Axis up this morning and it kills! I flipped on the neck pickup and the tone is amazing. There is something about the way this guitar feels and sounds that I've never experienced before. Plus the trans orange top and birdseye neck help too. I have always been an SSS guy, but I think this guitar has converted me-I love these humbuckers

Cheers man. I love my 25th (same pick ups)

These pickups are really something special. Really ballsy PAF tone, with extra kick yet still musical and open. I've been playing for 13 years and still heard nothing like em.

I agree. Really great open quality the neck pickup. Not muddy at all and sounds great, even with a ton of gain.

Yeah, I used to change pickups in my guitars all the time. Usually to a Pearly Gates, but the Axis pickups are perfectly voiced for me. Love 'em...:D

Me too Tollie, always had to change at least one pickup if not many other things. I should own some stock in Seymour Duncan for all I have spent over the years. SOOOO refreshing not to have to tonechase. Playing the darn thing is so much more productive anyway.

EBMM achieved perfection with these pups in this guitar. Mine is staying stock!

As much as I love my Reflex's, I can't put my A.S.S down. Initially, I thought that I wanted to sell it because it was so different from my 25th. Neck issues aside, the tone is so unique. When I say 'neck issues', what I mean is that they are very different.Just get one of these:

Ozzyrules,

That burst is breathtakingly gorgeous! Never seen a bad one, but that may be the best tobacco burst I have ever seen, great pics too.

The thing I appreciate the most about these guitars as a whole is, as a musician, they just flat out inspire us to play.

Isn't that the ultimate compliment to give an instrument and it's creators?

I feel exactly the same way about my Y2D! Not only is it the most beautiful guitar I have ever owned, every time I pick it up I just have a huge smile on my face. I've had a few EBMMs over the years and also swapped pickups, but on the Y2D they are just perfect. I do agree with the Axis pups as well though...I love the tone of the guitar, but unfortunately does not fit me personally ergonomically :(.

You hit the nail on the head, brother. For the first time in 7 years, I've really started playing again. I have callouses on my fingers and it's all because of these guitars.
Thanks for the compliments on my Guitars.

The ASS pups are awesome, The neck tone is so warm so much better than a Les Paul pup which is supposed the be the ultimate neck tone (so i have read)
I would love to know how EBMM tweak these just like everyone else on here i suspect
