If you head over to Steve Lukather's facebook page, a fan has uploaded the first pics of the Luke III prototype. I did a screenshot of one of them to give you a taste of this dual humbucking beauty.

Man that looks awesome. Do you think the Luke II will still carry on in production with EMG's or will the DiMarzio's take over?

Steve's own words on Facebook tonight:

From: Nathan Heaney
Hello. Good luck with the rest of your tour :) the new guitar looks fantastic. Will this one replace the Luke II or become an addition. If an addition, will the EMG's stay in the Luke II or be replaced by the DiMarzio's?

Steve Lukather: I am working with these new DiMarzios for now. I wanted to go NON active and it goes with my ALL organic approach with new Bogner amps and a small stomp box pedal board.. I am getting used to it all and loving it. I LIKE change BUT the Gldie LUKE II have EMG's they make great stuff too. They will stay the same. No need to keep doing the same thing over rand over. Variety is cool. Many compliments on my new /old sound haha
