Basking in post-gig glow. A summer town park concert thing on the Hudson, with the sun setting behind us, playing to a large and appreciative crowd.

I can't believe I actually get paid to do this. I'm having WAY more fun than I did when I was in my 20s and partying all the time. I get to play great songs with talented musicians, use a fantastic instrument that kicks butt every single time, hang with terrific people and dance with a beautiful woman too.

And I get to do it all over again tomorrow night! Life is goooood.

Every night I think the same thing. I love the fact that I have a job that I really love doing.

I can relate to that feeling, adouglas. A couple of weeks ago we did an outdoor Irish festival in Breckenridge, up in the Colorado Rockies. Over my left shoulder was a million dollar view of the mountains, over my right shoulder were my bandmates. In my hands was my Bongo. In front of us were a few hundred people of all ages clapping, dancing and singing along. Then there was the woman in the red dress near the sound booth. But that's a different story...

It really doesn't get much better than that.

Have fun tonight man!
