Well it sure looks a bit odd.

Looks to me like a standard 3 band (quite a recent one by the neck plate serial?), with a classic Ray neck (incl chrome truss rod adjuster) and bridge (the bridge also has an S/N). Not sure how this would occur unless assembled from parts of two basses.

Presumably there's a two band classic body, standard neck and classic neck plate floating around somewhere. It'd be interesting to ask the seller for the two S/Ns and run them through the system.

Just too make this more of a mystery... Did y'all notice that the body is string though! :eek: I thought only the classics and 30th had that. I think it is unlikely that its an old body with a classic neck because it has the plastic battery compartment.

OK, someone could have put a standard body on a drill press :eek::eek: and I guess that is what happen here too accomodate the classic bridge mute screws.

I would really love to here the story on this. I really do hope its legit.
