Most people who believe there is a shortage of wood, live in the middle east, India and China. And those areas by themselves contain most of Earths people.

and that is because there is a shortage of wood in these area. Hopefully all those billions of people don't start playing guitar tomorrow, that way the good tone wood left on this earth will last more than a few years! Palm trees don't resonate that well!
