Question Music Man USA Axis Custom Order / P 90 / HB

Music Man USA Axis Custom Order - custom-colour black sparkle with matching headstock, maple-neck, silent circuit, P90/HB.

Does anybody have the same or a Axis with P 90 / HB configuration !

Well to get a black sparkle paint job the owner would have to be an artist. Black Sparkle was discontinued in 2002'ish. Sorry no pictures, but black sparkle is the classiest sparkle finish going. Check the Official Pictures Thread, there much be one in there.

Depends, do you want an Axis for you SS. I personally prefer the SS.

Wow, that's different if it does. You should try to work the dude for a picture, so you can see the condition and stuff. Get the serial number and make sure it's an artist instrument. If could be a lab-rat that someone made changes too.

Here are pics ! AXIS sport with matching headstock. You can see the serial number ( G 12 711 ). It has the SILENT Circuit on the rear. Is it an artist instrument or custom order?

That looks like a regular MM90 Axis Sport to me...someone threw out the bridge pu and replaced it with what looks to be a DiMarzio Virtual P90 or some other soapbar sized humbucker.

I'd say it's neither an artist instrument nor a custom order

looks like a regular Axis Sport where someone swapped out the bridge pickup. I love my Axis Sport, but I don't think I would trade my SS for it if I were you.

Yep as been said user modded Black Sparkle Sport, nice guitar the bride pup is aDiMarzio DLX Plus, and if installed correctly the pup cavity had to be routed deeper. I know I did it once, nice pickup BTW but wise to keep your SS.
