I am the proud owner of a brand , new Silo 30. I had my first lesson today which included picking out an amp. I have been taking acoustic lessons for almost 2 years, with a Seagull S6,but have kind of hit a brick wall. After much discussion with my instructor, we both reached the conclusion that moving to electric might be the best way to get over that "wall". After doing about 4 months of research on electrics, looking for one that would be good for a lady with small hands, short fingers, & reasonably priced, I picked the Silo 30. My instructor was quite impressed with the Silo today. He has been laughing saying that I seem to have a "knack" of doing enough research where I am able to pick really good guitars that are reasonably priced. I did the same thing when I got the Seagull, & everyone in my local shop loves the Seagull. One last note, I am 56, always wanted to play guitar, but thought that my small hands would never let me. I decided to give it my best shot, so I'm still plugging along 2 years later.
I have high hopes that moving to an electric will help me resolve some of the issues I have as I would dearly love to start learning some of my favorite 70s & 80s songs. Just one quick question for now, & I hope it doesn't sound to "newbie" like, where is the Silo's serial number. I would like to get it registered, & posted in the serial number thread.
I'm really glad I found this group & hope to learn a lot.
