So there I was casually thinking that I could look for a Job at EB and find a counddown clock (jQuery Countdown) to EB's 50th Anniversary.... Ernie Ball | Home

I can only imagine what sites of wonder they have instore for us knuckleheads, so in true dreamer fashion let me hear your craziest ideas.... me first...

  • 50 free sets of strings with every new guitar

  • 50 EBMM guitars to be won over 2012

  • Marshall Amps will also be having their 50th Anniversary next year so hopefully another combined project like the amp-gig-bag.

  • Limited edition 50th Anniversary colour

  • 50th Party in the US (and maybe we could finally get BP to the UK ???) -now or never old boy - only so many bad dentists left over here ;-)

**Usual Disclaimer: - This is pure speculation, I am making it up as I go as I'd like you to - hope that I'm not secretly divulging the master plan etc. -**

Well, it's the 50th Anniversary of Ernie Ball, not Music Man. So I wouldn't hold my breath on any special edition guitars or basses. Although, I'll be pleasantly surprised if there is.

A 50th Anniversary coffee table pictorial history book with photos from past to present of the factories, string packaging, artists, the Hendrix store receipt, prototype guitars, special close up photos of Mr Horsepower and the Global Warming Guitar, Steve Morse flying the Ball aircraft, selected Luke quotes, Dudley Gimpel's ultimate guide to guitar setups and design - all that good stuff!

or

50th Anniversary phosphor bronze loop-end mandolin strings

and the return of Envy Green, with abalone pickguards and gold hardware!

(and I almost forgot - "Howiya Colin!" :))

Hey Colin, thought you'd fallen off the face of the earth!

Hi Jimmy

No mate i havent disappeared entirely but i got married last may and things havent been the same since:D;):p
I still visit the forum fairly regularly but i dont post that often.Theres not as many interesting threads as there was in the olden days when we were having a bit of craic with blindlemon and building up for the knucklehead bashes.
I know Dave stockden doesnt post anymore either for his own personal reasons.

Hope life is treating you well.:)

Yeah, marriage will change things around a bit, just wait til you get some wee ones though!!

I did think I hadn't heard from Dave for a while, hope the sales of his new album are going well.

It would be great to have another bash, as I believe you have an outstanding appointment with T'Devil!!
