Thanks to a fellow member here, made an even swap for my orange silhouette.

Loved the silhouette, don't get the wrong idea. But I played a reflex last week and it felt perfect to me.

Not to mention I felt more comfortable with the 22 frets than 24, dont know why. While I lose the single coil, the wiring allows for comparable single cool tones. The wider neck also feels a bit roomier for me, plus I've always hung onto maple board guitars longer in the past.

But it worked out perfectly. Both parties happy! Nice guy too. Cheers!

I don't think mine is a 25th though... but thank you! Yeah I agree, the 2/4 spots sound great in either series or parallel (especially the later though, you're right! roll of the tone and it honks!)

Ohh yeah!

Congrats!

I'm a bass player, but my band-mate guitarist seriously considering an EBMM reflex guitar in white color, 'cause I play white reflex bass, ...and that would be a pair!

How is it sounds in general? We play wide music genre set list, I think it could cover all?

When the guitar is in series it sounds like 2 hums with splittable coils in the 2/4 positions. but when you flip it to parallel it makes everything sound a bit softer (volume-wise) and a bit janglier but with an edge to it... if that makes sense?

I haven't found any videos that really capture how it sounds. But I really dig it, you can get a wide selection of edgy/full EBMM humbucker and split humbucker sounds when in series, and then a wide choice of single-type sounds when it's flipped over to parallel.

Congrats! The black with the binding and the maple fretboard looks really cool!

I also got a reflex recently, it's a great instrument, a real workhorse versatility wise. Only minor drawback to me is that the reflex doesn't have a nice birdsey maple neck. Since it's a different color from yours, here's a pic:

I just purchased a black one from another Forumite. Eagerly awaiting delivery. Something different than my 2 Silo Specs.
