Did you know that the EBMM site allows
you to preview color combinations ? It
might not always match your body style
for each preview, as that would require
about 50X as many images in the data
base ... but you do get to see how the
colors will interact.

Ok guys...got the Bongo today .... strung it up E-C .. and it sounds wonderful .... but I noticed that the nut has been replaced, and around the 20th fret I'm getting bad buzz on the Gstring, and the Dstring doesnt' change notes....I've tried different setups...raising saddles ... adjusting neck a little ... nothing is taking it out .... I've also put a straight edge on it, and can not find a high spot ... is it possible that the nut is not cut right .>??

PS - I'm trying to get some pics up ///

Maybe it's just me, but that nut doesn't look like a factory EBMM compensated nut...

3 of my basses have compensated nuts, 2 Sterlings and my Bongo. The Sterling compensated nut looks different than the Bongo nut. Your picture is exactly what I have on my Bongo.

what guage of strings are you using to tune E-C, maybe that is why the strings are not laying in the nut right.

strings are DR sunbeams 30-100 ... they seem to be in the nut fine ... nut had just looked different from the compensated nut that was on my 'Ray .... and there seems to be a lot of excess glue (which led me to think it may have been changed)

I'm not sure if the buzz was there before, just got the bass in today, (first Bongo - Love the tone, now I know what everybody has been talking about) had strings waiting on it ... I did play it some before changing but did not check every fret ... I used a straight edge to look for a high fret, not really seeing one ... just buzzing and fretting out around 22nd fret on G & D strings ... I don't think it will be a major problem to fix ... I've had 6 'Rays and of course my other bass is a 'Ray never any trouble ...
