Yeah, maybe get the one that will fetch higher resale value in a few months?

Really, this is the BS I get on Christmas Eve for a thread thats for fun, WTF!!!!!!! And to the rest of you, Slav, Jimmy etc. why I do not hang much any more on the forum, DB's ruin it for me. Well let this die.

And I will use the great ignore function we have here and well just play and stay away.

Really sad we have such DB's here.

I am out.:(

Keith,

I'm sorry you took what I said the way you did, but in all honesty, it wasn't meant to rip you. All I was suggesting was to look at another type of guitar, as you've had many Lukes over the years and all of them have been moved on. If you want to keep on buying guitars and moving them on shortly after, then that's your perogative to do so. Good luck to you.

Damn, who invited the scrooges to the party? Keith, I'd go for the BFR, I love the Ruby Red finish, especially compared to the black, it's a bitch to keep clean.

Thanks Fred for the positive!! Man just wanted to have somw fun and DB's took over. Merry Christmas to you and your family.

Looking like I need too take the Ruby plunge:)

Yo Keith, I have to jump on the BFR bandwagon. I love my Luke BFR. I know you've already decided to go that route anyway, nice choice my man. Lukes have my favorite neck profile of all my EBMM's and the BFR neck is prolly just silly nice. Please post pics when you get her! Merry Christmas.

Hey, take it easy with the DB comments Keith. If you didn't want forum members to be honest with you, you shouldn't have posted a thread asking for guitar purchase advice. A few of us didn't think that a Luke was a good choice for you based on your history with Lukes. BTW, we would have said the same thing about you buying another Axis with a Floyd. That's why Jimmy suggested a SM Y2D.

In the end, it's your hard earned money, if you want to buy another Luke go for it!

Peace!

Merry Christmas Keith! Thanks again for all of your kindness. Eric loves the BFR Axis you sent him. :)

That being said, I love, love, love my own BFR Axis, mainly because that mahogany tone block really kicks the tone up a few notches.

You should go for the BFR. Enjoy your day!

p.s. - I really think some of the guys you are mad at were just trying to help you. Not everyone perhaps, but it didn't seem like JimmyB and Slav were being mean. Just trying to keep the peace... :)

You know come to think about it, the Black LUKE is really nice too. My friend Rex (silverburst) had a backyard party last year, and he asked my cover band to play - it was a lot of fun. For the 2nd set he let me play his black LUKE. I remember really liking the way it played... and it looked pretty cool too.

(Aside: Guys, if someone is bothered by somebody's comment, they are perfectly capable of dealing with it themselves in private. Jimmyb aploogised and that's good enough. There is no need for anyone else to comment. Thanks.)

Keith - I'd take the BFR over the black any day, unless the black had a rosewood neck...!

It would be the BFR for me I think. I love the ruby red. Either would be great actually. Sorry that wasn't helpful Keith.

Hey Andy,

It was helpful, I was just having some fun, hope you had a Merry Christmas!!

Thanks to all who responded directly to the question and sorry to get upset but damn just wanted a fun thread. Plus I get a little frustrated with the innuendos about buying/selling guitars.

So with that said BFR on the way:)

Hope you had a great Christmas too Keith. Christmas was fun with the kids, though we've been at family for most of it. Your old Darg came along for the ride to keep me company. She still sounds fine through an irig. She's still in collectors condition and actually my most treasured instrument.

Yeah for the BFR. It'll be a beaut. no doubt. Now keep your eyes open for a mint Luke 1 for me. I sense a purchase window before the L3 arrives.

regards mate

Andy
