I know I'm probably asking too much, but I figured with the economy like it is maybe ebmm would be open to suggestions. Anyways thinking of an axis stealth(matte) with ebony board and stainless frets...anyone else interested? Im just dreaming this would be the ultimate guitar.

I would love a "stealth" AXIS. However, that would stink of copying the EVH that was released last year.

What about a single HB model with limited colors? Or the three singles? I also love the idea of an ebony board. Not a fan of rosewood much at all (even though two of my main guitars have them).

There was a petrucci stealth model so I don't know if it's so much copying an evh model. Plus who cares the evh model "copied" a LP so it is what it is. Theres a lot of stealth guitars now by all the manufacturers. Can't really call it copying unless say someone copys a gamechanger. If theres no patent on it then it's free game. I mean it's pretty much all been done before.

I would rather see a Axis with the Tele Bridge Pickup and a neck P90 or even a more traditional Tele pickup layout. I don't think Music Man would want to copy the EVH Stealth or look like they are copying it.

slightly off topic pessimestic comment, nuke if inappropriate:

Smart move by Ed to rock the Ebony fingerboard. He'll move a ton of guitars from people who want to clone his gear and have maple fingerboard guitars.

Not even close... Totally different

I could not disagree more...my Black Sugar Axis has gone stealth, and it is amazing...

It does have an ebony board.

That being said, I would buy a stealth Axis if they made one.

Yep, I'd be into something like that. I've seen a color that I think would look even cooler. It's a matte/flat finish but a dark grey. Add black hardware and black binding to that and I think it would look killer.

Eh the black sugar looks nice, but I still like the idea of a matte with ss frets.
