So, can you imagine the CEO of a company(EBMM) getting together with the CEO of another company(Guitar Center) and actually requesting feedback from its customers(us) on how to better their product? This is what made our free market economy so successful and you've just witnessed it in its inception on this forum. BP and Greg Trojan have broken down a barrier that has been built over the last few decades and found a medium in which to better relations with the consumer. Kudos to both.......... Any thoughts?

Outstanding stuff. I read through the thread with great interest and was amazed at all of the good feedback that was provided. If used properly it should help out both companies and obviously the customers. I say bravo to the cooperation it takes to work on something like that.

This isn't the first time a GC CEO came on here obtaining feedback from this forum. Marty Albertson, who was CEO before, was on here a few years ago. He even attended one of the forum parties. I think it was the one at the EB factory.

What exactly was this barrier that was broken down that existed for decades?

Well it's another good reason to be on this forum.
Along with the inside info we get, the Likes of Luke and Big Al posting on the forum, the camaraderie.

Pretty cool place to be.

My take - treat it like a brain storming event. The CEO of GC will appraise the info given and deem whether any suggestions are taken forward.

yes they listen and yes it helps greatly. Sometimes I dont think that execs know that there are actually well behaved forums. I take a lot of crap throughout the year...but this has to stay friendly and cannot be taken over by people with strange agendas.
