Hey guys - been a while! Thought I'd share... I am proclaiming 2012 "The Year of the Bongo!" for me.

2011 started high but ended with lots of frustration. Life is good, career is good (actually very busy - which is very good), no complaints really, except that the Band wasn't keeping me satisfied.

After taking our "vacation" for the month of December, PNTV got back into the rehearsal studio for the first time in about 8 weeks last night, prepping for a big show this Saturday. Felt absolutely fantastic. Band was tight, and loose at the same time. The Bongo killed, and the Band noticed. ;) After a somewhat random role in 2011, my Bongo is back to the front of the pack. And what a big year we have planned for PNTV...

We've increased our presence for 2012 at our favorite venue from four times a year to six. We've got two HUGE (for us) summer festival gigs that could put us in front of a few thousand people (we usually play to a few hundred) and we have plans for an over-the-top, self-promoted Halloween Bash this year.

Any of these gigs would make our year, we may see them all this year... And if that's not enough, we've got the Stone Pony in Asbury Park, NJ, on the calendar for April and we are very, very excited about that.

A year like this deserves total Bongo domination. Hoping to share the journey along the way!

If 2013 has a 10 year anniversary Bongo, I will order one. My goal is to try and do one new Music Man purchase every few years and I love the rare stuff that is not your regularly made run of the mill stuff.

The Stone Pony is a very historic place. Kinda small, but the vibe is really the col factor. I played there back in the mid 80's so I wonder if it's still the same...

That's exactly how I feel about ordering a Bongo! ;)

I bleeb ADoug stated that his Bongo has a flux-capacitor in it and time travels when strings vibrate at 88mph

If only he would install the aftermarket turbo, he then could go over a 100. :D

2012 is certainly the year of the Bongo for me. Got to play my new stealth 5HH at a Jam/Rehearsal this past weekend and everyone was floored.

Oh yes!

Got the call this week for Jefferson Day - biggest township summer fair in my area. We are the main attraction this year with the prime slot from 7:15PM - 9:15PM... Right before the HUGE fireworks display. :)

This event get a captive audience of about 5,000 - 7,000 folks at that time. The Bongo is VERY psyched! :D

Thats mine. It arrived last week, used. I bought it with intention to sell it. It is very popular bass lately. When it plugget it in I was on my knees. I play pretty fast and dense, always had some problem with clear articulation while using other basses. This one is better than anything else I had. In past I had two Stingrays, Sterling H, bunch of Fenders USA P and J.
My love was G&L L1000 from 1982, but now sadly speaking I need to sell G&L because there is no bass that can compete with Bongo.
