Albert Lee & HH - Live at the Tivoli - new DVD!!!

Hey guys,

there is a new DVD featuring Albert and his fantastic band Hogans Heroes!! It's available on Amazon since yesterday so I thought I'ld better post it here just in case someone didn't see it yet (just like me)..

It features a whole bunch of songs that have not been on DVD or on records yet, including such wonderful tunes like "Wheels", "Oh Darlin", "Let it be me", "Travelling Prayer", "You're only lonley" and the old HHF song "Song and Dance". I heard these songs a couple of times during different concerts last year and the year before, I LOVED them and really waited longingly for them to be published somehow - now they are!!

It is also the first DVD with the new keyboarder Gavin Povey, who after Elio Pace is now in the position that I would have liked to be as well... Hmm, I should have sent my demo tapes earlier...

The DVD also contains some interviews, including Albert explaining and showing his signature guitar. Yeeehaw! There is an appetizer on Alberts and HHs homepage:

I purchased the DVD this afternoon and it is already on the way to me! Don't miss it! I can't wait to hold it in my hand!

I didn't get to see Albert last year so wasn't able to get this via the merchandise table - order now placed !!!

On a side note - Albert's book "Country Boy" makes great reading. Albeit a tad pricey it's a "must have" if you are a fan of Albert.

In addition to the DVD, the Tivoli show is gonna be released as a 2CD set on January 23rd (UK release date)!
It's called "On The Town Tonight".

Excellent DVD of a live show. Lots of songs, some older material but also some new material. The short interviews between songs with Albert and other members of the band give an interesting insight into the members of the band. Good value for money.

I don't need to watch the dvd I was at the concert.Perhaps I am biased having followed this man's career for years.He is the reason many want to play guitar and the reason many throw them away.The concert was absolutely fantastic as were three others that I went to in 2010.The teaming up of Albert with Hogan's Heroes is nothing short of a phenomenen.miss any of their dvd's at your peril,go to their concerts as one thing you do before you die.
