Hey BP, will the new budget line guitars and basses that are going to be selling in the price range of $200.00 to $300.00 have any type of a gig bag with them or anything like that? Also, when will they be hitting the stores? I talked to my wife about getting our youngest son one because he has been asking me for a guitar or bass of his own and we want to get him one for his birthday in May so he can start learning how to play.

Does anyone have a guess as to when the Music Man site will be updated with all the new instruments?

The SUB Series will start shipping May/June. No gig bags included.

When we asked him about it back in July at Toto gig, he said that he would still use his Luke II as well.
Ok it was 6 month ago...
My 2 cents :)

(Wow it's my post 100:D )

I wish... the JP12 had the same neck as the JPX. Not because I don't like the 20" radius, but the thinner necks are really starting to hurt my left hand to the point I need larger necks now due to tendonitis. I've always wished the JPX was basswood/maple, because I really like that combo... I'll try to see if my hands can get used to this, and I'm hoping it can, but if my local dealer doesn't bring it in, I can't compare.

brokenvail play it then decide

YESSS...
I just don't get it how anyone can decide from only knowing the specs of an instrument whether he/she will like it or not...

I read somewhere (long ago, but I still remember) in an interview with Mike McGuire (Owner of Valley Arts Guitars back then), that he told Luke when he tested the Valley Arts Robot Guitar that the body was made of alder, while it was in fact mahogany since Luke didn't seem to want a mahogany body.
The rest is history...

;)
I have no problems with Alder. I love my SS. I simply have been dreaming of an hss guitar made of mahogany with a piezo the rw neck would have great bonus. The larger body is also something I have been wanting. Truth is if nothing more than the bigger body I will be looking out for this guitar.

I know it will sound sick.
