Hi all..I own a 78 ray that is in dire need of a truss rod adjustment but sadly the truss rod bullet is worn and a hex wrench spins in it.....

apart from the issue of getting the old bullet removed I'd be looking at trying to source a new one..
I've search old threads here dating back as 2005 suggesting these are obsolete and rarer than hens teeth.

Does anyone know of anywhere that may have a replacement....I can have a machinist make up something for me but unless I can source an original part, I'd rather not have to go down that road.

I'm, in Australia so sourcing parts here for it would be virtually impossible....

On another note, does anyone know where I could source an original E tuner for the same bass...It's currently fitted with a hipshot drop D......

I bought a new bullet truss rod nut from customer service a couple years ago, send them an Email, I bet if they had them then they have them now...

Yep. Ernie Ball has the truss nut.

There's a Pre-EB tuner on Ebay at the moment. Failing that I'm sure the current Ray tuners will be ok. EB Customer service is your friend :)

I've sent an email to customer service...hopefully I'll get a positive reply!

yep saw that tuner...waiting on the seller to confirm it has the logo and script on it....

cheers
