It's awesome when a company has respect like that. One of the many reasons I keep coming back to your products.

You've got to admit, that would be a pretty awesome result, though. I'd love to see the fruits of that design partnership.

I know you guys have fun every year with the different NAMM themes and getting the opportunity to get dressed up, but I've got to say it was a classy touch for the 50th Anniversary dressing in simple black suits. Everybody looked good.

Yes, the suits were a nice touch!

When the costumed crew from "Coffin Cases" walked into the EB booth one of them freaked out and took off, hollering about how it looked like the Witness that come to his door on Saturday mornings. I guess he couldn't handle it.

Tommy Thanks for the hard work! It is hard to describe the vibe and execution...a game by all aaa attitudes...I guess what sums ot up the best is that during the zep medley vai was allegedly spotted with a tear of joy rolling down his cheek.....

Sorry if this is a bit off topic, but I didn't want to make a new thread over this simple question.

On the official Music Man website, it says that the Steve Morse Y2D comes with either hard tail or optional Floyd Rose which is floating and has a recessed route. However, I found this on GC's site. A Y2D with a flush mounted Floyd! Music Man Steve Morse Y2D Guitar with Floyd Rose Tremolo and more Signature Model Electric Guitars at GuitarCenter.com.

Is this option still available?

Looks like Guitar Center is still using the old stock photos of a Morse Y2D with the Floyd. I believe they have been recessed since sometime in 2010 (if not late 2009).

As far as everyone talking about Vai playing an EBMM I know exactly where BP is coming from. I guess you could look at it in a sports setting where it would be called- tampering lol and would rather be in bad taste. I could never see Sterling ever doing something like that with an artist under contract with a diferent company, as I am sure their is a mutual bond of respect and a line you don't cross. I am certain a lot of players who are sig artist for other companies who are on that level may ask him for a certain guitar for their personal use.In fact we know that happens! Kind of funny this came up, as on another forum I just saw a picture of Vai in one of the three music rooms that he has in his house and he had an amber EBMM EVH on his wall of many guitars lol.

My totally off topic comment: Endorsements these days are an overrated, but necessary evil for manufacturers needing to compete. Not going to say specifically I would like to see Vai, but it would be cool to see ebmm pick up another "guitar god" like petrucci. Seems like most of the "guitar gods" though are getting older and ingenuity in music is dying.... Maybe I'm just out of touch!

Great, great and just GREAT !

About cobalt strings, they are priced like the titanium (that I use), but how about their life lenght ?
Do they lose their buttery touch, sustain etc quickly ? Medium ? or like "tank" titaniums ?
Cheers and congratulations !
