Hey all:

I was just think about EBMM guitars (which I tend to do pretty damn often) and realized that I don't think I have ever seen a 2005 LE buttercream Axis. Were any made, and if so, let's see some photos!

I'm not sure of EBMM's reasoning, but whenever there are special runs of colors, LE's, etc, The Axis isn't included. The Dargie I and Dargie II's are examples.

That's not entirely true, lumberjack. The 2006 LE (Black w/ Gold Hardware), the 2007 LE (Blue Dawn), and the 2008 LE (Sequoia Gold) were all available on the Axis. I agree they didn't offer the Dargies on Axis (AFAIK). But I thought since the other annual LE's (2006, 2007, and 2008) were offered on the Axis, maybe 2005 was too. But it sounds like the answer is "no". Which I guess explains why I don't remember ever seeing one.

I stand corrected. I will go stand in the corner, now.;):D

Jeff,

I really like your collection! If you ever think about selling your roasted axis or spalted axis, I have some interest in them. They're probably too expensive for me, but heck wouldn't mind getting a hold of these.

The 2010 LE RM/BS run also included the Axis, though only in ASS form at first. Then they popped up with a few with Floyds for GC as I remember Tollie (Bryan) having the first one on the forum. I am sure if it was done in Buttercream you would of found one by now Jeff lol.

What about the 2004's (Envy Green and Radiance Red)?

 OK, hold on now. What were Envy Green and Radiance Red?!? Was I asleep for those?!?! Anybody got pix of those in an Axis?

:D It gots me a Floyd Axis Roasted Maple / Black Sugar (with a killer roasted maple board instead of ebony). So I'm good to go there!

:) Thanks man! Not likely on the selling part, though!

Envy Green and Radiance Red were two limited colour runs back in 2004, sort of forerunners of the LEs. Radiance red eventually went into production as a regular colour. Envy green came as standard with an abalone pick guard, which looked so beautiful. I wanted to buy Mbgreene's Envy Green Silo Special but somebody else beat me too it. Lukather had an envy green Luke with gold hardware while recording FiB with Toto, similar guitars were produced as a special run for Japan, IIRC.
