Pulled the trigger on a Music Man Axis in Pearl Lavender w/matching headstock! I have always loved this color and watched this for a while on the bay. I can't find any other axis in pearl lavender through google searches. Can anyone tell me of I have a rare ball? I'll post pictures after I get it Friday!

I was watching that auction on ebay, you got a good deal on it. I would say it's pretty rare...I don't know about collectable, but you certainly don't see many of those around. In fact, this is the only one I've ever seen.

Aziah could probably tell you how many were made, if it is rare.

Hey thanks for the info and extra thanks for not bidding! Haha. I love soft, solid colors. I'm looking forward to making this wussy color look cool. Because it is!

My using of the term 'wuss' was simply to pander to the insecure knuckleheads out there (I assume there's plenty). Ha. I kid. I've always loved the color too. The thought of this color doing dive bombs at high gain makes me so happy. Can't wait to ride out the fresh awesomeness as of Friday. Totally stoked! Ordered a d tuna and picked up a EVH 'Best of Both Worlds' book. Yeah. Totally ready for this. Ha.

My local GC (Glen Burnie, MD) has an Axis Super Sport in Lavender Pearl, rosewood fretboard, matching headstock. It's been there for about a year now, it was $899 and they just dropped the price last week to $799. It doesn't have the original pickups though, someone put Seymour Duncan's in it and the last time I looked at it the neck pickup was loose.

Hey Benny -- I also have a Pearl Lavendar Axis. It's a really nice color and you will dig the pearl finish in person -- those photos on eBay didn't do it justice. REALLY nice color! Enjoy!

Not the best pic... Check the link below on page 3, it's listed as a reflex.

Heck yeah! That looks awesome! Do you know if there were very many made in this color? I have yet to sell a Music Man guitar. They're the only ones that get that treatment, ha, so I don't plan on selling the pearl lavender axis anytime soon. Just wondering if I got a hold of something not too often seen. Thanks for posting pics!

I think it's fairly rare. I track EBMM auctions on eB@y religiously and yours and mine are the only two I have ever seen. Compared to something like a gold quilt top Axis, which I see 5 a week on eB@y.
