Quite interesting and original design. Some art-deco influences are undeniable. I am curious to see how the LP-fateful will dig the non 3+3 headstock.

as posted in an other thread:
just have seen it "in person" today! looks a bit like a evolution of an AL.
here is a picture from my todays visit of the Musik Messe Frankfurt.

I'm thinking 1960s Corvette Sting Ray rear window area.... Did not see that carved top in the first pic... Incredible!!! and very classy looking

That was my first thought when I saw that top angle pic. lol

I really like this. I'm a strat scale guy for the most part, but who doesn't love to grab a Les Paul and play Slash licks? LOL Now EB makes something that should feel fairly similar, probably have the ability to sound very similar, and still match my babies. LOL Plus, it is like part Les Paul, part Firebird, part Flying V....totally cool!

Great work... can't wait til they're in stores.

Really cool design, looks like a mutated firebird! Wish it didn't have those pickup rings, but that's my problem...

I think it looks like a tuxedo with the black enveloping the maple. I dig the shape and am still interested in the neck profile.

Yes that is a slice of pizza. Is the arch top? (I don't know what to ask)
The video was really cool. I could watch cnc machines make guitars for hours. Couple it with a Steve Morse song for the soundtrack and you got a winner there CD.

A rolling stone gathers no moss, indeed. This could look to be the work of a new upstart company looking to set the industry on fire. But no! It's EBMM, a company that has shaped the sound of our lives for 50 years.
BP, this is all we need to know that the family company is in safe hands for many years to come.
Congratualations to all involved for a job well done.

I think the head stock needs to match the body V shape as in go up to a point but that is just me.

I suspect this design will leave no one sitting on the fence as in you are either going to love it or not like it at all. I'm edging towards the second group but it will be interesting to see how it stacks up on tone and playability. I assume this guitar will be pitching up against the Gibson LP and PRS Single Cuts and let's be honest that is some pretty hefty competition on all fronts. A bold move and I wish you all the luck in the world with it.

BP, Got any torture shots of someone playing this guitar??

Would be interested to see how it hangs (insert obligatory "ball" joke here) the last pot seem quite near the back edge of the body so would love to see how this guitar looks when being played. As with the AL, which when you first see one, the shape seems to indicate to your brain "there is no way this thing is going to be comfortable to play" yet when you play one it is one of the most comfortable and balanced guitars I have played.

The more I look at this guitar, the more I am loving it, cannot wait for more details.
