Hi Bongo lovers,

...anyone ordered 2012. Bongo?

I'd really like to see how it looks with new LW tuning machines! :)

When the first orders will be realized?
Can't wait to see whole "new" Bongo in the pics!
You know, ...I got a huge GAS for a Bongo right now!

I got only one request for those who made an order, ...pics, pics, pics... :D
(when arrive, of course)

Hey Keko!

I've been moving house, starting a new job, and about to move house again, so I've barely been posting...but this caught my eye.

Why?

I think, like you, I need a Bongo. I've been thinking about taking the plunge for years now. It's getting silly! I just need to order one!

Now the new tuners are around, I may as well consider making an order, because it will be 3-4 months anyway, and I can save for it.

My new job is, luckily, fantastic. So, once I've made this second move of house on Saturday, I'm going to speak to the EBMM guys in my town.

Spec?

Thinking of:

4 HH / 4 HS (might go for a 5er, but firstly, I want to get a super slick 4 string)

Tangerine Pearl / White Pearl Guard

OR

Sky Blue / White Pearl Guard

+ New Tuners :)

What a coincidence.

I have a Bongo5 HS that was delivered to my house about a half hour ago that left the factory 12 days ago. If it doesn't have the new tuners on it I'll be surprised/bummed.

I get off work in 3 hours and then I'll go home and break it out. I plan on taking some pics for a NBD thread. I'll try and get it online tonight.

Keko... Check out theperfectbass.com. They just got a Reflex GC with the new tuners and have great pictures.

I thought they were the same but after comparing with the Reflexes on their site they are a little different than the previous Reflex tuners.

Well guess who's surprised, lol. My new Bongo has the old style tuners. Fortunately Movielife came thorugh with some pics for you Keko.

I don't think I'll like it any less. It looks good with either type of tuner on it and sounds just as beefy. I'm starting to get used to the tone settings to get it where I like it best. I better save some for an NBD thread. :D

It was already on order by Bass Central and due in March. I reserved it about the time it was due and I never asked about the new tuners. I just assumed it would have them because of the timing. I'm not too worried about it. I don't know how much difference the new tuners make except for a cosmetic difference. We might find that some people like the old tuners better. Kind of "Old School" you know. :)

The new tuners will weigh less which could help if the bass is neck heavy.

less than 1/2 the weight of the original ones, made quite the difference on my bass.
