I'll keep that in mind, but it likely would not happen that soon. It is all I could ask for with a fretless.

Thanks!...Almost had my hands on it in 2007. I inquired on it when it was originally being sold. Small EQ PM'ed me, but my wife was in the hospital with complications from our first (and only but very healthy) child. By the time I got my ducks in line it was gone.

I don't have a fretless Bongo . . . yet. But, I would think it would be quite easy to get those tones from one.

Can a fretless bongo soud like this?

Weather Report - Cannon Ball - Bass - YouTube

Has any of you guys done sound samples of fretless bongo with roundwound strings? I would be very thankfull.
I am still deciding between bongo and stingrey (fretless of course).

That SR appears to have a toggle switch [on the control plate, nearest
to the output jack] not found on any stock SR ... so whazzup widdatte ?

Can a Boingo sound like that SR ? I don't expect that my Boingo Hp FL4
could quite go exactly there, even if converted to RWs. But, since THAT
particular SR appears to have a magnetic-only PU config, I'd say the BIG
question is: What would that SR sound like with COBALTS on it ? ! ? :)

Cobalts are very For Real. They take mag PU systems to places they've
never been before. They truly Woke UP a deep-but-muddy pine-bodied,
dual humbugger [small humbuggers] bass that previously was a rather
"limited use/special purpose" ax, and is now more versatile. If Cobalts
can do that for a pine-bodied ax, I'm sure they'd have a similar impact
on a poplar bodied bass, such as the Boingo.

Since I always play my FL Boingo with a major dose of piezo tone, it's
kinda pointless to put Cobalts on there. Cobalt is all about magnetism.

I'm not sure anyone who has spent more money on shoes than any woman I know should be talking about a scented candle....
