Having broken it 4 weeks ago i come up with a way of strapping the bass on without the pain . Find a belt and run it under the left arm and over the right shoulder , tight but comfortable . (for L.H broken collarbones)
I then found an old fender cheapy cloth strap and cut so to join it with plastic ties onto the belt under the L H side of the belt and the adjustable bit i joined to the belt at the back of my R H side . Then just adjust it like you normally would . Ill be using this for the next few months .:p

I was on my 125 cc motor scooter in the park playing with my mini fox terrier . I had also sunk a few beers and fell off , my L H collar bone landed right on the handle bars bith a big crack . I will never do that again ! You never wish to break your collarbone , It really stuffs you right up !

Wow - hoping for a speedy recovery! My 47 y/o guitarist jacked-up his knee falling off an 80cc bike a few weeks back.

Seems the big-guys on little scooters thing is a problem. :p

Neotechs are kind of like a comfort strap in that they have an elastic pad and give very easily. I have seen straps that go on around the waist from other companies though. Talk to your doctor and ask them exactly what they think you should do and why, you may even want to browse forums relevant to the subject to get other's opinions and experiences first hand. I hope everything works out well for you!

Might have to set on a stool to play. Next time, don't drink and drive.

I had fusion surgery on my back last year and did the first gigs after just sitting on a stool. It's hard as heck to just sit there if you're a mover and shaker, both of which I do poorly. But when you're hurting, you gotta do what your body tells ya!

Sorry to hear about your back , but happy to know the fusion surgery worked out , im not much of a shaker either , but have worked on some moves that look impressive with minimal effort . now im the guy in the band gets into it .
