Played the LIII S/S/H in Olive Gold this weekend. I couldn't really tell if the body was larger. If it was, it isn't noticeable to me. The hardware is very nicely done. The pickups are colored in flat black, The rest of the hardware is chrome. The jack plate is gone and in it's place is a very elegant chrome jack receptacle.

Boost is activated by pushing on the tone control once. It's a push/push switch which seems very well made. Boost is pretty awesome from what I heard in my quick few minutes with it. Pickups are passive for sure. From clean strat sounds to rock sounds with the bridge humbucker.

It's got me thinking that maybe I'm getting the wrong one since I've ordered the H/H version and it will be here this coming week. Order placed as soon as my dealer got back from NAMM.

Kimono, what was your impression of the switching? From what the NAMM videos & BP have said, the preamp keeps the volume level consistent from position to position.
Also, what did you think of the volume control? They've also mentioned that it does not change the tone when lowered...it actually only lowers the volume.

I only played it for a little while but there didn't seem to be any type of volume drop when changing pickups on the selector switch. The guitar was pretty quiet too. I didn't crank the amp up to hear if there was any hum for the single coils. Volume control felt solid but didn't pay attention when turning up or down.

Will let you know when mine comes in this week!

Pete, can you PM me a price on that bad boy?

Sent an email through the forum!

Thanks Pete, you made my day! Absolutely worth waiting till September !!!!!!

Yes, I would LOVE to add one of these to the arsenal but don't have any idea what I could let go.

Cool Pete. Can you give us a video review?

Thanks

Dom, I will try and do that this weekend if the guitar is still here. We have been swamped at the stores lately and will have a big announcement coming soon.
