put ultralights on the one I have. I contacted CS last year and at first they said I would be able to exchange my old tuners for the new ones and then they changed their minds. So i went and bought the ultras and installed them, made a world of difference!

Those LW tuners will help to avoid neck dive on 5 and 6 bangers, ...like on this one:

Yeah, I remember somebody saying they weren't interchangeable. I guess now we know different. We have a choice :D

I might consider getting a set for my Big Al 5. The neck doesn't "dive" per se, but it's a tad heavy toward the neck, and it doesn't quite sit the way I'd really like it. Not a big issue, but it would be nice if the neck sat a little higher.

Wow. That looks awesome. I think those are some of the best pics I've seen yet of Sterling Silver. I love that colour on a Bongo! Very nice! The new tuners look great.

Does this new model also have the compensated nut ?

They should. I have 2 older Bongo's and they have the compensated nuts on them. Since it is a better design that most nuts, I can't see Music Man not continuing to put these on their Bongo's.

Lipan, how did you get the new tuners? When I asked last year, CS said no dice.

My bongo went in for a repair 'cause of some problems with the neck. They replaced it with a new one, tuners are bonus...
