Just today I awoke in a state of utter sadness.

I once owned:
Lava Pearl Bongo 5HHp
Egyptian Smoke Bongo 4HS - the best sounding and easiest playing bass I've ever played.
Autumn Redrise Stingray 4H - best finish, ever.
Fretless Stingray 4h, with insane birdseye, old style bridge - a perfect bass.

I want these all back... thank god the Sterling is a killer, or I'd be severely depressed.

I miss both of the Bongo 5 HH/p basses I had. I am however getting back a Sterling 5 HH I sold a while back.

Ha, look at my sig. I run a temporary home for Musicman basses. If I could have only one back it would be the Ice Blue Bongo 4H. Should have never sold that one.

I'm my brief history as a bass player, I've owned...

Bongo 6 HS
Sterling 5 HH
Stingray fretless 4 H
Stingray 5 H

Only the Bongo remains (THE bass if you ask me!) but now I'm suddenly gassing for a classic Ray 5...UGH!

Well here's your ex Bongo 5HHp in action - it has cobalt strings and a new (white ice) pickguard and still sounds great - well it's a Bongo eh?

Oh the pain!!!!

I miss my Sapphire Black 4HH Bongo and Lava Pearl Fretless 4HHP Bongo. They were lost due to my losing my job in 2008 :(

I am loving my 25th and my Ray34 though!!!

I just started a job that should go perm after August. I hope to start building up my Bongo & Game changer funds by the start of 2013. Unless the aliens show up and put a stop to that ;)

My list isn't that long but there were some great basses among the ones that have passed through my hands:

Buttercream Bongo 5HS (Now with Moose308)
TobaccoBurst Sterling 5H (Sold locally)
Pearl White Big Al 5SSS (Sold to MAGUIRE)

I don't really regret selling any of them I guess. They're all great basses but, for me, I just found that in a direct comparison situation the Bongo 5H suited me better. If I had unlimited funds I would have held onto all of them because they each have something unique to offer that the others can't quite do.

Now that my Fretless is on order the only other bass I'm thinking of buying now is a 5-string Gamechanger Reflex - assuming that becomes an option. I'm sure that would be pretty cool.

The only one for me was a Desert Gold Bongo 5 HH. I ended up trading it for an SR5 and the only reason I let it go was because it was too heavy for me. Otherwise, it was a really good bass.

Since I'm terrible at getting rid of gear, for me the regrets are more about the ones I didn't buy...

A 1979 black Stingray I saw in a shop here in London a few years ago. It was a commission sale by Paul Turner of Jamiroquai, if I remember correctly. Great bass!

And, of course, a 1988 Peach SR4, also in a shop in London. I hesitated for too long and it was gone...

Oh, how could I have forgotten my sweet Burnt Apple 4H Stingray!?! That was a beautiful baby - hated losing that one also the economic woes! :(
