Black SR4 HH maple neck with hipshot d-tuner and mirror plate.
Black SR4 H rosewood neck, hipshot d-tuner and mirror plate.

Their passing still pains me to this day, to you who say never, I hope so for you.

For those that have had no choice, due to the general cost of life in all its glory, I know how you feel and can but only share.....

I hope to get them all back one day.

for me the regrets are more about the ones I didn't buy...

A 1979 black Stingray I saw in a shop here in London a few years ago. It was a commission sale by Paul Turner of Jamiroquai, if I remember correctly. Great bass!

And, of course, a 1988 Peach SR4, also in a shop in London. I hesitated for too long and it was gone...

OMG the latter must be virtually unique - and one on my wish list.

I have also had the same experience in London shops - basses considered but foolishly not bought:-
Totally mmaculate 1977 Inca silver Ray ex Colin Greenwood (Radiohead) (£1700!!!!)
Red Cutlass 1
late 80s Blueburst 2 band with teardrop MM case
various pre EB Rays incl a beautiful but rather distressed white one

all of this whilst searching for the SR5 of my dreams and sticking to my guns!

I miss my old Inca Silver SR5 sometimes,
i think my black LED SR5 has to go too... because it stays in the bag most the time.
I´m a 4 String Player and my white SR4 is all I need

Hey Matt - I was also a benefactor of your past sales, the Dargie 1 Bongo 4HS FL Lined. I passed it on to a guy in Columbia, SA, so it's speaking Spanish now. I can't look backwards, although that bass had an interesting fashion modeling possible history. I might have kept that modeling picture somewhere...

What can I say? Those who bought Rays from me helping me pay the cost of life and the bills of the vet - they want to keep them. Maybe I can get Robin back someday. Robin? The Sherwood green SR5... ;)

Stingray 5 H in Las Vegas Gold
Sterling 5 HS 2008 LE in Sequoia Gold
Bongo 6 HS in Cabernet Pearl
Bongo 6 HS DD2 in Caramel Apple Delight

A Reflex 5 HH Roasted Maple in Black Sugar might be added to that list when the next bass (Bongo 6 HS PDN Honey Roast) arrives.

Nice...! Wasn't that a limited run for the German distributor? Lovely colour!

I had always assumed you still had Robin.

Where did it go?

Ok, I have been afraid to reply to this but after the Manfloozy list I now have nothing to fear :D

2009 25th 4HH
2009 25th 5HH
2010 Big AL 5SSS
2010 Sterling 5HS True Gold (I think)
2010 Stingray 4H Tobacco Burst Roasted Neck (GC special)
1995 SR5 H Unlined FL
1995 Sterling 4H Unlined FL

I think it is safe to say that with my current lineup, I've come full circle and found my home :)
