Hey guys any help you can give will be greatly appreciated. The other day at practice i hooked up my bass and played a couple of songs with the band and it just cut out and started making this deep and loud zipper kind of sound. No matter what i did to the pots or the cord would change the sound or disrupt it. The battery is good and it doesn’t do it all the time it’s very intermittent. I switched over to my other ball and had no more problems. Have any of you guys ever seen this???
Thanks

Best bet is to contact Customer Service. You will get a ton of Internet practitioners who will try and diagnose and solve this site unseen and it is not a good thing. Call them up and they will be glad to help you.

I agree with Koogie. One thing to try would be to make sure the battery contacts are not bent flat, and making good contact with the battery. Still sounds like it could be a battery, but if not Customer Service is your best bet.

I had a very similar problem with my Stingray, I tried to unscrew the bolt for the jack and ended up accidentally twisting up a bunch of the wires and pretty much ruining the bass, fortunately though I was able to get together with a grad student in my Music Engineering program and we were able to put the whole thing back together, and since then the problems pretty much gone away, but that was scary!

So you should definitely not do that ha ha. Call customer support.
