Finally ditched my last non-EBMM high end guitar for an LIII that my local GC had gotten in. KILLER figuring in the RW neck. I tried to get some good outdoor pictures, but my phone camera is not the greatest (though still FAR superior to my digital camera). I will reserve my final impressions for when I have it set up with 0.10's (0.09's are far too slinky for me, I'm constantly fretting them off the neck), but of course, the build quality is just unbelievable, and the gain boost is like having an onboard overdrive that just knocks your sound out of the park at high gain settings. Congrats! I am very tempted myself to grab one but want to see if other color options become available. I really like the Olive Gold but don't get why more colors were not offered off the bat like with the AL HH.

Beautiful guitar and nice photography :)
How does it sound through your 6505+.

It sounds unbelievable through the 6505+ (of course I'm a 6505+ fanboy, and I prefer it to any Mesa or Marshall I've ever played through, so keep that in mind lol). The pickups have a quality to them that I haven't heard before in any guitar. Like the perfect hybrid of single-coil definition and humbucker oomph. My pick attack seems to come through moreso than on any other guitar I've owned or played. I usually keep the gain around 6 on the lead channel for hard rock/metal playing (a la Judas Priest or Iced Earth) so the hiss isn't overpowering, however, with the Luke III I can use the boost as a sort of built in overdrive to give me that little extra push that I want. I'm highly impressed with it and I think it edges out my JP12 in terms of crunchiness.

thanks for the sound description. How about the in-between sounds?

The in-between sounds have a very vintage vibe (to my ears anyway). It almost begs you to play some Robin Trower or Pink Floyd or something. They are also very distinct from one another, which is something I didn't expect when I saw the switching diagram. In fact, they sound so much like an individual single coil that I had to check the wiring diagram to make sure they were two coils on at once. It's really groovy and makes the guitar even more versatile (I think even moreso than the Y2D).

Looooove the rosewood. How're ya liking the olive gold?

The Olive Gold is really something to behold (excuse the rhyming!). Just like the Cherry Sugar it doesn't disappoint. I was hesitant about it in pictures because it looked kind of drab in some of the photos that I've seen, but in person its spectacular. You really have to see it in person to appreciate it. In fact, everyone who hasn't checked out a Luke III should do so immediately!
