Texas Finally!
Well here it is the guitar that has been on a journey, thankfully no worse for wear, actually came back in same shape as sent including the case goodies I included.

Today I changed the strings nourished the rosewood with some EB conditioner and set it up to my liking:D

So the Reader Digest version is I sent this to France via USPS, they royally screwed up the shipping lost the package then without notice of any kind returned it to Texas and left it on my front porch unannounced:mad:

Well thieves are everywhere and someone stole it from the porch, at the time this all happened I/we still thought it was lost in the USPS system sitting in a warehouse somewhere in the world:eek:

It wasnt until Guitar Center called me that I realized it had been sent back and stolen, somebody was trying to sell it to them and well when they saw I was the original buyer they quickly called me to ask about it. I informed them yes it is a stolen guitar but the person ran off. I filed a stolen property report with Garland Police who were able to recover and return the guitar.

The person who stole it off the front porch pawned it in South Dallas then sold the pawn ticket to the person it was recovered from. The person who stole it has a warrant out for thier arrest and will be prosicuted on a felony. The scum who buys pawn tickets is out his cash and was running a drug house. Not illegal to buy pawn tickets but if the property is stolen merchandise well the person is out, hopefully they busted him on drug possesion.

Anyway GPD did a great job and it is here at home.

Now new old pics:D

Jeez Keith - that's a gut wrenching story .. so glad it is all back in one piece. Great work by the police as you say - send em in a box of dough nuts - sure they'd like that lol

Very happy to see it back safely. What's your new shipping choice?

After seeing someone mention on a guitar forum (can't remember which one), I opened a Fed-X account. Didn't cost anything. They just want a cc to charge to. I've already shipped one guitar and a 20 pound box of legos. Saved about 25% both times just because I had the acct.

Crazy story, glad it all worked out. Our UPS driver never rings the doorbell, just leaves everything in front of my garage door, even when we're home. Drives me nuts!

We must have the same UPS driver!

Congrats and what a story! I read your previous post after reading this one and couldn't believe it. Great job by the PD and GC. I hope the two cons do some time for this.
