Off Topic Tone (of voice)

I wanted to give props to this message board membership and the moderators for the tone I have experienced here, so far. I signed up as a fan of my (somewhat) new SBMM, and though it is not an Ernie Ball product, I haven't been tarred and feathered for being here. I have only been a sustaining member of one other message board and things can get mildly volatile at the drop of a hat.

This board has given me some insight I didn't already have and has fueled my interest in owning a bona fide MM Stingray.

A lot of bad guys did cheap rip-offs of MM instruments. The company can not catch all of those bastards so they decided to give out a license to the guys who will pay them some money and will be making at least high quality copies. I guess I'm close to the truth.

Can't say for sure I've seen him, but there's this weird, scary guy squatting in the abandoned foreclosure down the street who bears a striking resemblance.

Welcome aboard! I too was pleasantly surprised with how nice and helpful other forum members were when I first joined. I think this is a reflection of the company in general. Customer service is top notch, they're friendly, and professional.

Yes, we're all musicians, bassists, and Bozos on this bus. We're passionate about our music, our instruments, and our instrument maker - the Big Grand Poppa of them all. No reason for us not to get along. And just so you know, there's really only one Fan-Boi here.

As far as we're concerned, you are a bona fide Stingray owner. You just have the gateway bass. Hell, many of us have them with the name SUB. Highly collectable now.

Couldn't agree more Jules. Members couldn't be more friendly or more helpful here. Quite unlike any other 'brand' forum where you get cut up for not supporting the 'brand'. If you want MM knowledge, you're in the right place, but if you just want to chat and gain some info and talk music, then this is one of the only forums where you can say whatever you like(sort of) without fear of reprisal. Long live EBMM
