I know that I'll have to contact customer service on Tuesday when they are in about my problem, I've seen enough threads that just say "contact customer service" to know that that is the route I need to go, but I'm just wondering if anyone has had this problem. My low E string is really quiet with the piezo, less than half the volume of the other strings. If I push down on the top of the saddle, right were the string is actually sitting on the little gray strip of the saddle top, it comes in at full volume. It stays at full volume for about three notes and then goes super quiet again until I push down on the saddle once more. I thought maybe it isn't getting enough pressure so I raised the saddle, but it did the same thing no matter how high I took the saddle. The sucky thing is that I plugged in the guitar the first day I got it to check out the piezo (it worked great) and haven't plugged in the piezo since. That was two years ago. So tonight I actually needed the piezo for the first time and it didn't work. Was a big bummer. Anyone have this happen? And yes the battery is new and three different batteries were tried. Something about not getting enough pressure downward or something. Ughhh....I freaking hate guitar problems. The guitar is a koa JP, and it is an absolutely amazing guitar, except for the piezo of the low E string.

Shame that - I use my piezo all the time - it must be disappointing, but everything seems to point to the saddle being at fault.
I hope there's a way of fixing the existing saddle, otherwise as you prolly realise, a new one will be required.

Let us know how you get on?

I had a similar problem with an ASS several years ago, except on the one string, the piezo was sporadic--sometimes it was there, sometimes (most times, actually) it wasn't. I think they ended up replacing the one saddle. Fortunately for me, it was still under warranty.

Regardless of what it is, I'm sure customer service will take good care of you.

Yeah, I've had good experiences with customer service in the past, just not looking forward to having to ship the guitar to Cali. Maybe they will have a miracle solution.
