According to Ernie Ball and the serial Number this bass is 100% Straight.
Assuming that's the one I sold to you that is from around 2000. Here is the original thread from when I bought it.

That finish was only available for years around the 2000 and 2002 time period.
Did the Sterling even exist in 1990?
I do believe I have photos of my wife pretending to play that very bass.

Paul might remember. Me, Paul, the wife and Ray Duke. Ray had a new Bongo 4H and Paul had that Sterling and a Candy Red Bongo 4H that we all had to sit around and play. I believe there was some drinking involved.
