hi, just picked up my second Stingray - 15 years after I sold my first.
it's a 1989 Stingray 3 EQ - serial no: 28176 - been re-finished in white and had a fretted board fitted but do you have any detail of original finish D.O.B etc.

This serial number looks like a pre-EB bass. My best guess is that it's from 1983- '84 (referenced from musicmanbass.org). Please re-check, and keep in mind that we only have S/N's from ~1985- present

F02173 - DOB: 02/15/00, Pearl blue finish, ashwood body, maple neck/ rosewood fretboard. Shipped to Sam Ash Music, Hicksville, NY. Sterling's weigh anywhere from 8-10 lbs., depending on the density of the body wood.
